GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where technology professionals – from designers, developers and database administrators to marketers and web strategists – donate their time to provide solutions for non-profit organizations.  This year’s Grand Rapids GiveGamp will be held November 8-10th, 2013.

GiveCamp 2012 Currently Taking Applications

GiveCamp Grand Rapids has been scheduled for October 26-28, 2012!   They are currently accepting applications for nonprofits interested in participating. 

GiveCamp is a weekend-long event where technology professionals donate their time to provide solutions for nonprofit organizations.  Project examples include new or revised websites, databases, social media strategy or email marketing.

Any 501(3) can apply to participate in GiveCamp. Accepted non-profits will be matched with a project liaison prior to GiveCamp who will help them shape their project and answer any critical questions to ensure the weekend is a success.

Erhardt Construction hosting contest to award $50,000 to area nonprofits

Erhardt Construction is celebrating its 50th Anniversary by recognizing and supporting the work of people and organizations that are serving others in the community. They are giving away a construction project and prizes totaling $50,000 to area non-profit organizations through our Building Our Community contest.

Erehardt hopes to reach nonprofit organizations that have a vision for a project or facility improvement that will help them accomplish their mission, but they may not have access to funding. Nonprofit organizations can register to be eligible to win a donated construction or renovation project worth up to $45,000.

Prizes
Winning non-profit organizations of the Building Our Community contest will receive:

– Grand Prize: $45,000 toward a construction or renovation project
– First Runner Up: $2,000 cash donation
– Second Runner Up: $1,500 cash donation
– Third Runner Up: $1,000 cash donation
– Fourth Runner Up: $1,000 cash donation

Key Dates Highlighted
May 16: Contest Registration Opens
The contest opens for non-profit organizations to submit their construction project through the registration page of the website. The public may also register to vote at this time.

June 11: Non-profit Registration Closes
Non-profit organizations have until 11:59 p.m. EST to submit their registration form through the contest website. The public may continue to register to vote in the contest until the contest ends.

August 23: Contest Winners Announced
The grand prize winner and the four runners up will be announced to the public.

2010 Recover Michigan Funding Opportunity

Recover Michigan is a three phase program implemented by the Michigan Nonprofit Association and seven Management Support Organizations throughout the State of Michigan. During the eleven month-three phase program, community and faith based nonprofit organizations will position themselves to strengthen their effectiveness to address the broad economic recovery issues present in their communities.

Services Offered at No-Fee
Trainings, Consulting, and Grant Opportunities (sub awards) in the areas of:
* Program Development
* Evaluation
* Leadership Development
* Collaboration and Community Engagement
* Organizational Development

Who Can Apply?
Incorporated community and faith based Michigan nonprofit organizations with a budget less than $500,000, and specializing in assisting low-income individuals in the following areas are welcome to apply:
* secure and retain employment
* earn higher wages
* obtain better quality jobs
* gain greater access to state and federal benefits, and tax credits
